Front of a Casket - Never Finished?

This might have been from a casket that was being worked on but was never finished and mounted.  The silver background is lovely and could have made a really great piece.  I have several people working on caskets like this in the Cabinet of Curiosities course and I can't wait to see them finished!

Kinda wish I had known about this auction on time as this was a bit of a steal.
